Well my name is Calvin and I am the owner of Califab Welding Ltd.  We are a  small one man operation previously serving Edmonton and surrounding area.  In 2017, we are pleased to announce our move to the beautiful Okanagan valley.  Over a decade in the trade covering work in refineries, drilling rig manufacture, repair, and artistic metal work.  A can do attitude and an inner desire to perfect my craft drives my professionalism.

My fourteen year journey to this point started at Bev Facey high school in Sherwood Park Alberta.  A patient shop teacher guiding my hands and mind to learn the trade of "welder".  I immediately fell in love with the idea of fusing metal together, and the hand skills and coordination came naturally to me.  Enrolled in NAIT's welder program immediately after high school and eventually worked my way through the

apprenticeship program to become a full fledged red seal journeyman at age 20.  Still quite young and with work abounding in Alberta I joined the plumbers and pipe fitters union Local 488.  Through the course of my five years of employment with them I criss crossed the province working in coal fired power plants, refineries, and three of the four largest oil sands sites in Fort McMurray.  In 2012 I started what is now known as Califab Welding, although I still maintain my good standing with the union.  I was lucky enough to spend three years as a direct contractor for Precsion Drilling corporation where i really got started in the business world.  Today I've grown to an independent contractor with a passion for sculpture and metal art.  With an almost unlimited combinations of designs, materials and finishes to employ its hard not to enjoy what I do.

Thanks for visiting.
